We had a dessert auction Sunday Night and I heard that we raised up $1,260. All of the money is going towards the Mother-Daughter Luncheon. I believe that includes the money from the chex mix.

The Person of the Week Is…………………(#3)
My friend Elisabeth! She graduated from school last year in June and now works at her father's business. She works in the Toddlers class and sings in the adult choir. She also is a superb flutist. Not to mention a good sense of humor. Who knows when she'll pop out in front of you with a wooden board ready to strike.;)

Chocolate Mint Andes Cookies
Hello! I'm been asked a lot of times for my recipe to Chocolate Mint Andes Cookies. Everyone seems to love them so I thought I'd post the recipe.
You will need:
3/4 c. butter 1 1/2c. brown sugar
2 T. water 1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
2 eggs 2 1/2c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt
2 boxes of Andes mints
In a saucepan over low heat, cook butter, sugar, and water until butter is melted. Add chocolate chips; stir. Remove from heat and stir until melted. Pour into a large mixing bowl and cool 10 minutes. Beat eggs in on high speed one at a time. Reduce to low speed; add dry ingredients. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours. ( I recommend over night. It works the best and you have the satisfaction of knowing that it's chilled well.) Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake 12 minutes. Remove from oven. Place a mint on each cookie. When mint is melted, spread over cookies. Refrigerate to set. Makes about 4 dozen cookies. I hope you guys have fun making these cookies as I did! When I made these cookies, I knew that the kids I made them for ♥ them.

Today's Person of the Week Is..........(#1)
AMY FOSTER! Yes, Mrs. Foster is a sweet lady. She is one of the substitutes for my Sunday School Class. She is the mother of 4 soon to be 5. She was grown up in a Christian home and was taught what some kids don't have. She has a twin sister Angie and they are really close. She is a very sweet loving lady. She and her husband are bringing music into their kids lives at a young age. They have been singing specials as a family. Today, I had Lousia sing with me in junior church. For a girl who can't read music, she can sing really good. Why? Because she has a wonderful mother and father who guides her into becoming the Godly woman she ought to be. This is a new thing I am starting so every week, I'm going to post about a certain person and that's the person of the week.

Vision Zambia
So wonderful to hear Bro. Barnhouse on Sunday. I got to meet his two eldest kids Nathanieel and Emily. When I went down to the nursery, Nathaniel was picking up his brothers. The one brother in the nursery was throwing his passifier, and Stephen his other one, was running away yelling "Mooooom!" Lol, it was sooooo funny! I recommend for you to check out their website. The link is in the column where it shows the list of blogs I follow.
