My NYSSMA score

Ah, I'm now comoletely done with NYSSMA! We arrived at 7:30 and hung around for 2 hours before we actually got to play! I was scheduled to play at 9:20 and didnt get to play till 9:35 and didn't leave till 10:19. We hung around so long so I can find out my score. Finally, I got my score. Out of 28, I got a 26! Still in the outstanding zone and I'm content.

NYSSMA

Well, yesterday was supposed to be NYSSMA but.... actually, my piano teacher got the wrong date. So it's tonight. I will be doing NSSMA tonight but the thing is, I have to miss out on church. ); If you are wondering what NYSSMA is, NYSSMA stands for New York State School Music Association. You have to play 3 scales, your piece of music, and sight read and the judge gives you a grade going from 0-28. Well,I'm scheduled to play at 9:30.(I'm going to be tired after that!)

The Song of The Week Is......(#3)

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

Mordecai came to Esther. He said "It is up to you. You must go to the King to deliver, your people, the Jews."

But Esther showed fear when she said, "I might as well be dead." That's when Mordecai would not back down. He said to reply like this.

CHORUS:
"Who knoweth whether thou art come into the kingdom, for such a time as this. You might have other plans in your mind but your thoughts, are not as high as his. If you run from God's will, all that you will find is a dead. So step up to what God has for you, for such a time as this."

You have a future ahead of you, you have goals and dreams. A doctor, a lawyer, a pastor, so many choices, it seems. But when you make your choice, don't ignore the Holy Spirits voice. For you will be miserable if you don't do, what he has planned for you.

Keep a Summer Diary

As school draws to an end, we end up having nothing to do. This summer, we should keep a recording or a diary of the stuff we did this summer. Then when school comes again, we could look back and see what we did. We will see how much we did or if we were lazy that summer. The diary could be decorate it, or decorate it yourself! Get some sequins, stick on gems, fabric, whatever you want! Keep yourself busy this summer!

The Song Of The Week Is…(#2)

I HAVE PRAYED FOR THEE

Jesus came to Simon just before he went astray.
Knowing his denial was not very far away.
Saviour gently called his name and let  their eyes did meet.
Satan has desired to have you that he may sift you as the wheat.

CHORUS
But I have prayed for thee,
And I have cried for thee.
Let thy faith fail not.
For there will be others someday,
That will lead you to pray.
So I have prayed for thee.

We have Christian friends around us,
Satan wants them too.
They'll miss the  joy of serving God,
This world will never do
Let's not let another person fall beside the way.
Let us care enough to help them, may our hearts cry out and say.

Rebekah

Watertown

So, I'd thought I'd talk about Watertown. We had like 25 going, all the guys went in the grey bus with 4 girls and Bethany, Courtney, Rachael, Anna, Katelyn, Bro. Cialini, and Abigail and I went in the white van. We got to listen to music. Eh, their loss(not really, they had to deal with the guys. poor them!) We had pizza, chips, cookies and pop once we got to Black River. Rachael, Courtney, Hannah, Katelyn, and I got to go with Mrs. Kubik. So happy!!! Also, I'm soooo glad the Courtney, Abigail, David, and Jeff are joining Luke, Trevor, Betsy and I in our octet. So thankful that I get to sing with my friends! (Not sure about the guys)

Song of The Week(#1)

AMAZING GRACE
Amazing grace how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found.
Was  blind but now I see.

Twas grace that taught my heart to fear.
And grace my fears relived.
How precious did that grace appeared.
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares.
I have already come.
Tis grace hath  brought me safe thus far.
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures.
He will my ship and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yeah when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease.
I shall posses within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The world shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun shall cease to shine.
But God  who called me here below,
Shall be forver mine.

When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to see God's praise.
Then when we'd first begun.

Sportsman's Dinner

Hey! I'm so sorry that I haven't been writing lately. I've decided that I'm finishing the Person of the Week and starting The Song of the Week. It will be weekly like the Person of the Week. I've just ran out of people to blog out so start with songs. Hey, that's part of Music and patriotism.  It will involve of course the song title and the lyrics with it. So now on to the topic. I wanted to talk about the Sportsman's Dinner. We had about 380 people and 109 pies. We had three rooms full of pies. The adults and teen guys served everyone in 12 minutes! New record. :) Also, the teen girls were in charge of the pies. We had trayfulls of pies ready for the teen guys to take. While the other girls were handing the trays to the guys, I'd take the empty trays and give it to other girls to fill them up. Plus, the girls got the fun job. Yup, cleaning up. We cleaned the cookers, spoons, trays, you name it. Bethany, Hannah, Betsy, and I got to listen to the important stuff. The others either had fun or helped out with other stuff. I'm so glad that I got to help.
Well, TTYL
